maids. maids maids..

Some of you know.. the maid problems i went through. After.. changing indonesian maids, have decided to leave it at that and just get a filipino maid. Thinking they get paid more than double compared to an Indonesian, they are educated and all. So my husband and I decided to get a filipino. We pay her Rm850 a month compared to RM350 a month for an Indonesian.

The first 2 months my filipino maid was brilliant. No complains. She was Mary Poppins in the making... with her singing and the house was spic and span!! We treated her well and fair since she was good. We let her eat watever we ate and i even bought for her... her favourite OATS... since i thought to myself if you're good then you deserve it!. I bought her clothes and shoes etc as when my kids are happy the house is clean. We are happy..so i thought that she deserved it!..

Then the 3rd month hit.. which is this month!!.. oh GOSH!!. now im thinking to myself. maybe Im just better off.. without any maids!!!!!. Since, being nice to her, she has taken me for granted. Now when i tell her things.. like. can you clean this etc.. her face goes really sour, long and she has 100000000001 explanations. for example i asked her to clean the the microwave.. why isnt it clean.. she will say stuff like "the detergent that you have is not good, i have cleaned it, (yeah RITE!! but its still dirty).. I dont know why its like that, i dont know how to clean etc.. you should have told me when i first started.. ?? huh?? (she must have a really short span of memory.. because we went through the cleaning list.. on her 1st WEEEK!!!! and how to clean everything!!.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I reallyyy give up. Its either i keep quiet and bear.. with her. sloppiness or tell her off and face a whole week of.. sour face and showing temper... I give up reallly..

I think we are fair.Since i started work, Kyle & Kaelyn goes to the sitters cum play school 3 times a week from 10am - 5.00 PM. and she has the whole house to herself.. and you know my house is so small with 2 bedrooms!!..and have told her that from tuesday - thursday. she has to clean the house thoroughly - but i guess this has not been happening. Im usually home either monday or fridays. with the kids and usually take them swimming ( so she is again at home.. being able to do wat she wants.. and weekends we are HOME!!.. So someone.. pls tell me where have i gone wrong???

I have given her the freedom to clean.. how she wants.. whatever she wants first, basically i dont care as long as its CLEAN!...When i am home. i will bath the kids.. put them to bed every nite etc. I always think.. of letting her have her space and even bring her out. on saturdays to just get away from the house!.. and this is the THANKS i GET! Even for rodney's laundry - ironing is all sent to the laundry... and now kyle and kaelyn are big and can entertain themselves..

Well, now i know why some people just choose to live without any maids!!!..and am about to fire her and just bear with it!!.. Anyway the kids are now 2 years old and i think i will manage FINE and will be RM850 ringgit RICHER!
