MaIdS... mAiDs..maids.. MAIDS..more maids ... No maids!!

Some of u may have a maid, some may have two. others may just hear stories more like complaints about them and decide not to have any..

I can write a whole book on it, but will try and squeeze it to a single page in my blog. Im not saying all maids are BAD.. I am lucky that we can afford a maid.. but sometimes i think.. were probably better off without them!. I had one as i gave birth to twins and didnt know much about babies apart from reading books about them..... and yeah probably baby sitting here and there..I just wanted someone to be here to help me.. sometimes.. to help take care. but i will usually supervise etc. and also just help with the basic house chores...

My first maid, worked with us for 40 days plus, initially she was alrite, soon she kept asking for our home phone number, i said no.. numbers... but allowed her to call home (atleast 2 times a month) .. then learnt this was a big NO NO.. as she was our first we didnt know we were supposed to lock them in and hold the keys while we go to bed.. she ran away in the morning, leaving a nice sweet "love letter" note saying thanks for our hospitality but she has other things to attend too. We later than found out from our agency that she has a boyfriend..and is probably now with him.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures..In desperate times, we called the agency, pastered them and they brought us a "REJECTED maid" thinking that perhaps i can change this maid.. and wat choice did i have, i accepted the rejected maid.. she worked with me for 5 months... she demanded alot of things.. like " she needed the aircon while she ironed the clothes, she wanted to go out every weekend. shopping, she would eaves drop on any of my phone conversations.. But i sacked her.. as when i went for my grandmothers funeral, she didnt wash the kids bottles and practically poisoned them I went away for 1 nite and came home to 2 very sick babies.. no end of throwing up and vomitting. Screamed at the Agent.. fired them as we wanted our refund !!We later found out they cheated our money on the agency fees .. and didnt even pay us the balance(from the insurance of our 1st run away maid). We then issued a lawyer letter to sue them, they came knocking on our doors with the CHEQUE....

So we hired a second agent who came highly recommended from a friend. Little did we know, this AGENT" see who u are what house you live in " Big HOUSES = More MONEY. gets a better maid. small houses, get the rift raft" the worst of the lot.. so.. u can guess what sort of maid i went through. (living in a pigeon hole)... 2 bedroom apartment.!!! She convinced us she had good maids and promised us the world saying her maids were well trained and no problem in counselling etc.. So maid no 3.. came (she was allergic to detergent, water) knew NUTSabout house work. lasted bout 2 months with us..she ate everything and anything.. she even ate all my babies biscuits and left the empty boxes stacked nicely in the kitchen cabinet. she ate rice like there was no tomorrow and she Dug the dustbin.. going through our receipts and i have no idea wat she was looking for or wat was she up too.. One fine day I found our wedding photo in her POCKET. fired her immediately !! i called the agent UPTEEN times.. for a replacement.

With little hope and luck... maid no 4 " the DINASOUR" came .. also by the same agent. she lasted 3 days. as she claimed she was 40 but she was actually 60.. as i tested her on her year of birth.. why? as she was realllllllllllyyyyy slow and believe it or not. she came out of the bathroom TOPLESS!!. as she FORGOT.. she had to wear CLOTHES.. so she left after 3 days.. she was the one who told me this agent had like 5 maids on hand but 3 maids.. (who were middle age and had experience were sent to all the BIG BIG houses.. while she was told to come to my house and she also admitted she was tired. and didnt think she could help look after the kids. When i consulted the agency.. they just came up with one excuse after the next and the next.. ..

maid no 5 came.. she was a temp.. really good but stayed with us for about 5 days as she had to go back to indonesia.. So in between.. was calling the agency for a new maid..... so i was alone with 2 kids and house work.. just never seem to end..

Maid no 6.. finally came.. from a different agent.. as the previous agent kept giving empty promises.. she will have 10 maids to choose from etc.. but after a few weeks of waiting .. i didnt even have 1 MAID.. so hired a third agent.. the first few days.. the maid was good. In between i had a malay lady to come and help out.. during the times when i was maidless. The malay lady was good with the kids but one day she would come, but leave half the day.. the next day she would call in sick, the 3rd day she would come, the 4th day and 5th day she would call in sick again.. so she didnt really last long. but the funny thing was maid no 6 was good. she worked well until one day i left both this malay lady and maid no 6 together.. thinking i could sneak out for some cny shopping for new clothes with my husband.. when i came back... maid no 6 was in the kids bedroom at one corner.. her body covered with the bedsheet and was trembling.. i was wondering wat the commotion was all about as the malay lady came with a cup of milo..etc and apparently my house has SPIRITS..... yeah in GHOST spirits and she said she can no longer work . as these spirits are interupting her work.. so i dont need rocket science to figure this out.. the malay lady must have. poisoned her as she too.. claimed she saw black shadows moving in this house..!!! so she left..

Maid no 7 came.. she was recommended by our driver.. she is also an indonesian.. but she lived in malaysia for like 10 years and she wanted fees like a local maid.. that was rm 600- rm700 a month. She would work from monday - saturday and have off on sundays. so we agreed to her terms.. when she stepped into my house i checked her bag.. .and found about rm400 plus cash and was wondering. "geez thats a lot of money" she said that.. she was keeping the money for her aunt or something like that so i didnt bother. Then about 6pm our driver called rushed here and said " the police are looking for her" as her husband lodge a report or some crapt like that. she stole the money and ran away.. so there goes my Maid No 7!!!!...

Maid No 8 was chosen by my mum.. she was young.. and naive..she lasted for 9 months and was sacked today. She had afro hair " my brother inlaw says" she looks like she is from a JUNGLE and from the 60's with her hair..Why did i sack her? for the 9 months:-

1) broke plates
2) broke glasses
3) burnt clothes ( hubbys work pants & Shirt, my pants and blouses)
4) lost my patoto peelers ( the whole set 4 ) all gone
5) cutlery set of 6 each - teaspoon (4 pcs) knife (1pc) all MIA - she claims she accidently threw them OUT (how in the world do u throw that many cutleries out???
6) broke my NEW foundation (christian dior)
7) Threw kids toys out - as she claims they were dirty" (too LAZY to wash them)..
8) Broke the bathroom window
9)Broke my blender (kids blender)
10) spoilt my juicer
11) Iron Spoil - GONE

* She diluted our tabasco sauce with WATER, She ate rice with OIl - she claims its fish oil?????

The classic story is "THE EGG THEORY".. one day i caught her listening to the eggs in the kitchen. She was going through my new carton of eggs shaking one by one and listening to God knows what?? Eggs are liquid. rite?? i believe u would agree. so she separated one part of the egg and the next to another section. I watched her then asked her " wat are u doing???? she says that the eggs of the right are BAD eggs and need to be thrown out!!! i was shocked and just broke her"bad eggs" which was fine and there was nothing wrong with the eggs. U should have seen her face" she was in SHOCK" . and she told me in indonesia.. she has been doing this all her life.. Imagine all the Good eggs she has been throwing out??? so for those of u who have indonesian maids... GO CHECK them?? as a friend realiased he has been buyinig tons of eggs as well....his maid is doing the SAME thing!..

She doesnt accept 2nd hand goods.. and wants brand new things. She chooses the type of food u give her. Not all tin food is acceptable to her!.. not all the food u could she would eat. She basically chooses wat she likes. and when she likes it she eats like theres no tomorrow!! yeah u may sometimes think she is from the "Istana of Indonesia"

For those of u who are thinking of getting a maid.. good luck to you.. i guess i have enough bad luck for the past year with maids. Am just going to sit back awhile and take a deep breath..and just wait and see how i cope with my 2 rascals :).. wish me luck. im gonna need lots of it..
